    Talking Encoders?

    Hi all

    Just wondering what dose an encoder do? do you need one on a small cnc router? and how do you hook it up?

    Your best bet is to do a search first under Incremental Encoder & servo .e.g. http://www.baumerelectric.com/en/105.html
    Get the basics down and come back with questions after.
    You will need an encoder if servo motors are used.
