I have a Crusader 2 control with a bad servo amp board on the Z axis. I have a replacement board OTW, but need to know how can I test the servo motor to make sure I dont damage my new servo amp board. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Inspect the brushes and run a simple bench test using an Automotive battery, this is not conclusive, but should give you an idea as to whether it runs smoothly.
If the motor has a tach, measure the voltage in each direction.
