    Circulating fan

Hello all, I recently purchased a few components to build a spare control box for my JGRO, I have a few issues with vacuum cleaners. Anyway I bought a 48V-7.3A Power Supply to match up with a Gecko 540. I also purchased a metal box that came with two switches and a 24 volt circulating fan. Doesn't this seem a little problematic and shouldn't I be looking to buy a 48V fan? If anyone can help I thank you in advance. Tom

OK. It's been over a week and no replies. Am I to assume that I can hook up the 24 volt circulating fan to the 48 volt power supply and have no problems either electrically or electronically and am I the only person that is having an issue with this? Thanks in advance....Tom

eh.. I would not hook a 24VDC Fan up to a 48VDC supply. it will move a lot of air for a few seconds and then you´ll need to buy a new one

I finally located a supplier for a 48v fan. Pelonis out of Malvern, Pa. A little pricy, but so is every other improvement in this hobby. Tom

You can also run 2 24V fans in series.

If you are still looking for a 48v fan at a low price, Newegg has one meant for server cases. Dont let the poor reviews fool you, they are from buyers who thought they were getting a 12v fan. In their defense, the page was mismarked for a while. The fan actually is 48v, and for less than 10.00, it is a pretty good deal. This is a 120mm fan, make sure your current fan is the same size (it might be the other standard size: 80mm) or you can make it fit somehow. Good luck.

    Hey! My first post!
