We're replacing our Heidenhain TNC 155 CNC with CAMSOFT and need to know what type of encoders are on the mill. Are they incremental encoders? 5V? 12V? 24V? SinCos (sinusoidal)?

Look at the numbers on the encoder cans and call Heidenhain for the specifics. Data may also be available on their web site. To the best of my knowledge they are incremental, 5VDC.

There are no encoder cans that we can see. It looks like this mill has glass scales.
Look carefully at the end cover of the motor. There is a Heidenhain sticker on it with the encoder identification (unless it fell off).

I didn't see anything the last time I looked, but I'll look again.
Thanks.
