It is the time of year that bad thunderstorms are rolling through our area. We are concerned with damage to our units from a lightning strike as well as loss of machining time. Is there a way to shut down the unit and then restart at the previous point in the program? We are running mold contouring programs, usally one of a kind. Can't find anything in the Mach 2 manual. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

If you pause or stop it and know where your at, you can use run from here when restarting.

In a thunderstorm prone area I would have every computer hooked up to a UPS. For one thing, they provide the highest level of surge protection. In your situation, if the power suddenly died it should trigger a reset. (I assume you're using a charge pump). The computer would continue to run and give you time to note where you are in the program in order to do a "run from here" when you continue.
