    Back plot time

I was wondering if any one knows how to get an accurate back plot time, i.e., is their a way to adjust it.
My friend is running the same version as me, MasterCam 9, and he gets almost perfect time feed back. Mine is out to lunch.
Thanks for the feed back Cal.

YOU WILL NEVER GET AN ABSOLUTE ACCURATE TIME ON MASTERCAM.
MASTERCAM USES YOUR FEEDRATE AND THE DISTANCE YOU TRAVEL, MAKES A QUICK CALCULATION AND BAM YOU GET YOUR TIME.IT DOESN'T KNOW HOW LONG A TOOL CHANGE TAKES HOW FAST IS YOUR RAPID AND HOW MUCH YOUR MACHINE SLOWS DOWN AROUND CORNERS ETC. MASTERCAM X AND X2 HOWEVER IS MUCH MORE ACCURATE THAN V9.

Open the post in he editor. Go all the way to the bottom. You'll find some numbered questions. One of these has to do with the Rapid Rate for the machine. It helps if this is set close to your machines rapid, not exact. The Backplot does not account for acceleration/deceleration. so if your machine does 800 IPM rapid set it to 650-700.

It's also a good idea to start with a cycle time you know and wirk backwards. Keep changing the Rapid Rate until it's close to the known cycle time.

But Vicros is right. You'll never get it perfect, 100% accurate.
