    B-axis offset unavailable

    Hi,

We have an MX-60HB with OSP7000M Control and a recent addition MA-60HB with OSPU100M Control. The MX has a fully functioning B-axis whereas the MA has a B-axis that can index in full degree increments.

For some reason the MA control will not allow us to input a value into the offset table for the B-axis (can't recall the error message, but think it has the word 'overflow' in it). Is there an option/parameter that needs to be turned on to allow us to offset the B? It would be useful to offset our B to 90, 180, 270 to give us more freedom when loading fixtures etc.

    Thanks,

    DP

Unfortunately, Okuma has decided that when you don't get the full B axis, you don't get B offsets. (yes it's a stupid decision on their part) That being said, the solution is to use the common variables as B offsets and then add B=VC1 etc, into your programs.

I have my post processor set up to use this by default - that way it works with either style of machine.

    Best regards,
