Awesome! Running smooth
Do you have a skirt running around the outside of the dust collector, or is it open? If it's open, how well is that working out in terms of dust control for the cuts?

Skirt was removed for video. It's a rubber skirt made from landscaping material for ponds.
With it off it collects 80%. On - 99.999%
Is that video at normal speed?
Why does everyone want to put music on their video? I like the sound of the steppers and router.
I have the same HF router motor on mine. Mounted the same way, but using only 1 clamp.
I like the speed of your machine. Can you give some specs on how it's driven?
Thanks, John
Speed of video was sped up twice to fit the music. Actual cutting time was 7 minutes but could be cut down to 6 or less. Didn't want to chance chipping the veneer. I listened to enough wood being cut and the vacuum running to give anyone a headache. If I'm going to wear headphones it will have music in it and not a router being run.
Opinion needed. If a larger machine was to be built, would it be best to build the frame from steel or wood. I'm getting equal opinions but need yours. 50% or so say that the wood beam and frame helps absorb noise. Last machine doesn't have enough clearances for a 4th axis without extending the legs between the table and the machine. Also I'd likt to mount a 3hp Freud router so I can use all the bits I have.
Thanks
I have rails, screws, motors and drivers for my next build. It will be a 36 x 48 inch bed with 8 inches of Z travel. I will be building a steel frame so I can weld most of it.
