    A little help

I was wondering i anyone on here can help me out with some questions, for the past3 months i have been building a 3 axis gantry router with a 4x4 work area I have used 25mm linear rails on x and y axises, the problem that I have run into is that I have dialed in the first set and they are out still .010 from being parallel over a 5 foot distance, which is compounded by having to shim a floating semi fixed work area which it seems that what ever i do still has a cup in the center of the work area of about .035.

could someone give me some advice

Can you bolt one side down, and then let the gantry dictate the spacing between the two. Tighten it down as you move the gantry along the rail?

I would do that if I was farther, I am having trouble getting the rails to lay flat in the horizontal plane, I currently have them within .015 over a 5 foot span in both x and y

Once you get the gantry worked out, surface the table with the machine. That should eliminate your cup.
