Hi really hoping someone can help.

I have a sabre 500 with a tnc415 controller hiedenhain.

It is all ready to use 4th axis table but I cannot find the parameter code to enable it. I have a troyke table and have multiple jobs waiting but without this code it does not show the axis to reference.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

I am not up on theTNC415 control but if the A axis has ever been connected and working prior, the code for the A axis option should be activated in the control. You should have a button to install or remove the A axis. The machine should be in a E-STOP condition first. On most controls you don't need to put in a code to activate the A-axis every time you but the TNC415 control is not like most controls. You can call FIVES machine at 800-934-0735 in the US for more info on this.

ok so i got it connected up and can now see the 4th axis on the main screen only trouble is i now have a drive not ready fault. really need a wiring diagram to check its all there but didnt get one with the machine. Does anyone have a diagram for the 4th axis?

can anyone take a photo of their electrical cabinet that has a heidenhain control and i should be able to check that there is nothing missing.

The TNC415 was not used much in the US, what drives do you have and what is the electrical diagram number on the main plate???

He managed to get me the BDS4 manual that will really help all I need now is wiring diagram for the machine just can't get hold of them.

I have contacted the owners of Mag and they haven't come back. As it stands the drive does not enable only one green led at top where as all other axis drives enable.

Will try and get my service engineer in again to have a look.

I am now up and running turned out to be the air supply to the clamp unit. woo hoo now i get to play with 4th axis milling.
