I think the silly season is catching up with me too...

There may or may not be some updates to this saga depending on the quantity and quality of Christmas spirit available this year.
Enjoy!

Jeez. We're all going bonkers. Looks like fun tho'. You sure it's a mouse and not that skiprat, Santiniuk.
This seems an appropriate thread to wish 10Bulls and his readers a Merry Christmas from Mr and Mrs Greybeard aka John and Pippa.
It's like doing jigsaw puzzles in the dark.
Enjoy today's problems, for tomorrow's may be worse.
Ok, a brief update...

Cheers greybeard! ...anyone who can fit the words "Frizzleton" and "Vole" in the same sentance is alright by me!
Phew...I think it's beer time!
What about an electrocution pad? A vero board with 240 volts alternating along each strip. cheese in the middle. If you are going to get rid of him you might as well get a few sparks and a light show outa him.
Thanks for the story.
Great to see your in the full swing of Christmas Spirit Benny !
Oh the suspense !
No, I'm afraid such a high vole-tage display would be too shocking.Originally Posted by ynneb

time passes.....
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who goes to extremes to relocate rodentia. I'm sure Noel will appreciate it much more than the "electrocution pad"! I find the whole killing thing re-vole-ting (due to a bad childhood memory of my grandmother offing a mouse with a hammer. The memory is vague now, being basically the hammer coming down, the mouse popping, and me being sprayed with a vapor of mouse intestines).
Lately my rodent of choice has been chipmunks. Far more destructive than meeces as they undermine foundations and such. Mine got a name too: Zippy. But after relocating him/her (I didn't look), I found I had a Zippy2. And three. And four. Fast forward to the end of the summer and my headcount was eleven.
Good luck with your trap-please let us know when you catch Noel. In fact, why not immortalize him/her with a picture? Have a Merry Christmas!

Time still passes.....
Well, so far Noel has got slighly more itelligence than perhaps I first gave him credit, and so far he has eluded my cunning snare! 10bulls innaugrual mouse catching spectacular looks set to join Beagle 2 in the almanac of great British Christmas turkeys.
Of course the bait might be wrong...any suggestions anyone?
I hope you and yours are all having a great one today...
I'm off to go lie on the sofa and groan a lot.
Today may be different, remember that yesterday.....t'was the Night before christmas and nothing was stirring, not even a mouse
Have a good one.

PS. Yer a nutter for sure!
I think you should bait the trap with what you already know the little critter likes, a bit of sponge from your soldering station and a few strips from the expensive ducting tube. It's a proven winner!!!First he took a liking to the sponge on my soldering iron which I use to wipe the tip - after the moisture I suppose. The final straw, he took a fancy to the ducting tube of my expensive new dust extractor.
Mouse-kebabs, anyone?
HayTay
Peanut butter works like a magnet for chipmunks, maybe the mice will like it to!
