in my system I used a 212 and two 202s I used the 212 on the z axis and the 202s on the x and y. I still havent fixed my system yet because I have a ajax setup now. I am eventually going to fix my bp boss with the gecko though. I am also running a pmdx breakout board pmdx power supply max voltage to the geckos. I did run the machine alot I got really good results on short programs and hole patterns other stuff not so much oh maybe its my comp though Im running a dell I think its 1.8 ghz processor.

My situation is that I repaired the original BOSS 5 Controllers and interfaced them with a simple parallel interface via lazyCam. But last time I used it the Y axis quit just as I finished a part. So I have been debating if I should spend the time tracking the problem down or convert to Geckos. I figured if Gecko had a sale I would buy, but despite signing up for their mailing list a few years ago, I have never received a single email from them.

    Thanks,
