Both motors should lock up when the power is applied. You should not be able to turn the rotor by hand. Otherwise, you probably got your power wrong.

You should give more detail about how you hooked everything up. It's hard to help without knowing anything. Posting pictures might be even better.

What is the voltage and current rating of your power supply?
What is the current rating of your motors?
Did you hook the power supply polarity correctly?

the board is 3 xis controll,if i just turn on the power supply alone, the 3LEDs will lit and the 3 motors will lock up, then when i turn on the computer 2 of the LEDs will turn off and free
2 of the motor shafts.According to seller those LEDs should not be on unless you jog xyz axises.at the moment i don't know how to post picturn yet, once i learn it i will.
    Thankyou for the help.

Do your supply use a heavy transformer, or is it light weight with a fan inside?

I have the same motors. The symptom you described sounds like the an incorrect wiring of the motors. Check your motor wires. Follow the connection instruction in the stepper data sheets. Be sure you do not mix up the A and B wires. They are NOT interchangeable.

To keep things simple, disconnect all but one motor. Power it up. The rotor should lock up. Jog it. The rotor should turn. At no point should you be able to turn the rotor by hand. If it intermittently locks up and releases, it means you got the coils mixed up.

My power supply is a light weight kind with a 24v and 8.3 amp.,i double check all wires on all motors and they correctly wire, i try useing just one motor like you suggested, and no better result.
like i mention in the past, once i turn on the power supply, all the work indicator LEDs
light up and all motors lock up. then when i turn on the computer 2 of the work indicator LEDs turn off and free 2 of the motors. does that has anything do with the computer.

That shouldn't happen. Can you post the user manual for your board?

    Terry,

Unzip the TB.zip file and copy "tb.xml" to your C:\Mach3 directory

Run Mach3 and choose "TB" from the Session Profile Menu

Please keep us posted on your progress.

    Terry,

Do you have a straight through DB-25 cable?

Is it possible you have a null cable by mistake?

Have you tested the DB-25 cable with a ohm meter to make sure?

The border of the reset button in Mach3 needs to be green, if it is flashing red it will not run.

    See the attached jpg.

I see nothing unusual in the manual. It should be very simple to get it working.

To keep things simple, disconnect everything except the x motor. Hook it up in the bipolar series configuration. Tell me all your connections, wire by wire. (by wire color)
