    Feeds and Speeds

    I’m new to CNC Programming. I am trying to work out speeds and feeds of a 7 tooth carbide milling cutter. The material is mild steel.
    The information on the carbide inserts are:-
    Vc (m/min) 350 – 150
    Fz (mm) 0.05 – 0.15
    Ap (mm) 0.1 – 2.0
    Dia 63mm

    Using formulas I have worked out the following

    Vc = 150
    Fz = 0.15
    Ap = 2
    Teeth = 7
    Dia = 63

    RPM = 793
    Feed = 833
    It would be much appreciated to have a second opinion on these results before I start machining.

    Many thanks.

    Using your data, I calculate 758 RPM and 722 mm/min. I am in the US so I converted to in/min to make sure it looked right, and it does.

    Yep, G-Wizard gets the same answer.
