Newbie, Which Controller (Kits) can handle big CNC accurately ? step or servo ?

    Newbie questions,
I just want to learn/study before start buying..

looking for Kits that can control CNC as big as 1x2 meters travel, wood cutting, with 50cm Z travel depth.

this is for production ... so do you think any Kits will do this heavy duty job ?
which brand you recommend ? and is it right Servo is better for this project ?

When you find out, let me know. I'm building a machine with about the same size (3'X3'x6" Working area) I want a good size motor but don't want to pay a lot for an oversized motor. If anyone has good resources please let us know.

    Hey guys,

I have been using mach2 for my controller and for the money I think it is the best deal out. Support is the best, free upgrades for life and one controller can be used to control a router, mill, plasma or lathe.

It will run steppers or servos using step and direction and I think it will run servos using pwm. If you are looking for complete packages there are a couple of guys that advertize here on the zone that offers that service.
