    Angry MillTurn Memory Problem

We have a older (1991) Hitachi Seiki HiCell MillTurn. Here is our problem:
When someone downloads a program from the DNC into the control and they name it with the 1st number being a 9 in the program number (ex: O9054), we can't delete or modify that program anymore. It stays in the control. No one we've talked to can figure out why we can't delete it. I've tried to change the program number to something else (ex: 5182) and it won't let me. You can't even modify the rest of the program. It's locked for some reason. When someone downloads a program without a 9 as the first number, they can edit the program like normal.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sean

Its a locked program. If its a Fanuc control there is a parameter to unlock the 9000 numbers.

It's possible that it has the Fanuc control. But the rest of the MillTurns we have are a few years newer and all have the Seicos LIII control. I'm not allowed in the control cabinet to see what boards are in there... If anyone has a phone number for Hitachi or Mori that would be great!

    hitachi

    Fanuc most likely

NE9 locks the macro programs. O9XXX would indicate macro programs. Don't ever use a O9XXX unless you are choosing a macro.
    parameter 3202 bit 4

Thanks Tire! I'll give that a try tonight at work.
