My next dumb question.... color printing

Does X4 allow me to print out my drawing in color? Plotting? We only have a B&W printer. Plotter may be coming.

I'd like to add a smiles icon but I'm not sure if there is one for old guys who don't read much.

Yes. Mastercam has been able to print in color since at least version 8.

Sometimes color printing is a hassle though. A color that looks great on your monitor doesn't always look so awesome on paper.

Plotter support has also been around for a long time although it can also be a challenge to get good results from. I use an ancient HP DesignJet 600 with 36" roll feed. Perhaps newer units have better drivers and are hopefully easier to use...

P.S. You mean smilies like this ? :withstupi (just teasin')

If selecting a color to define screen entities, I suggest using the lighter pastel colors for area infills ( solids and surfaces ) as this would come thru as light greys on a B&W printer and ink usage would be lower on a color printer,
plus any linework ( wireframe, dims etc ) will show up on a light grey area.

Thanks Matt and Superman. Matt, the icon is bang on....... though, I don't know where to find them to add a bunch, but it's time I find things on my own.
