Gecko Drive, Banner Competition, Finalists Voting

    VOTING TIME
Thanks to all those who submitted an entry into the Gecko drive banner design competition. The moderators had a tough time selecting who would make it through. All the entries were fantastic.
If you didnt make it through to the finals you still have a chance to design a sticker for Gecko Drive. HERE

A special mention to Mariss from Gecko Drive for putting up the prizes, and also to Art from Mach2/3 for donating a licence to the winner also.
Here is your chance to pick one of the Gecko drive finalists to win the competition.

The voting is at the top of this page

The poll will close and winners will be announced on Saturday. The 1st place winner banner, will be used for Geckos advertisement on the site as well. I'm very impress by what our members are capable of, the last place winner will also receive a CNCzone hat.

Go Barkster! Nice animation, nice metaphor. The fade-in distracted initially; it took me a while to notice that the fades were different products. Note that I did stick around to find out, a significant point. In any case, utility trumps aesthetics here, so I'd probably not change it if it were mine. And I wish I could claim a piece of work like this as mine.

Congratulations! Regardless the outcome, it's the best!

    Poor fingernails...

I knew I should have animated a strip dancing gecko in my ad.

I'd enter, but I couldn't figure out how to draw a stick figure gecko. JavaDog has my vote instead.

Yes, I tell you it was very hard to pick only six from all the great entries.

Nice job displaying them Benny, I like seeing them all lined up!
    Thanks

Well since everyone is giving thier opinion, and the competition is now out of my hands and in the hands of the public, I will give my vote to Deviant. It has a nice sci-fi, apocalyptic feel about it.
Not too in ya face, but still highly noticable. Attention to detail, original thinking, Outside the square, Just enough to make you wonder what it is, and click on the banner.

    awww shucks... *blushes*

Now all I gotta do is figure out how to post mark my first born to Benny. Should make a good chip sweeper, worst case maybe a coolant squirter.
