Machine has a tsudakoma rncm rotary table been on job for months with no problems until... The power cable to the fanuc motor (inside the axis housing)melted down and burned completely off the motor connection. I have since megged the motor (500 volt megger) reads 7 meg to ground, low but seen worse. I have replaced both the cable ends and verified correct connections to the Fanuc 18i control. When I attempt to run the axis I get a "run away" for about 20 degrees and a fault message of "410 servo alarm:A axis excess Err" I am not completly sure the phase of the motor is still the same but reverse direction gave me a overcurrent condition. I have conflicting documentation as to the following parameters and there effect if any on this problem.
12.7 Tried as a 1 and 0
1005.7 set to 1
2009.0 tried as a 1 and 0
What am I missing?
How can I break down the servo loop to isolate this problem?
More clues????
when I attempt to turn hand wheel the display shows the movement until fault occurs.
The axis turns the direction it was commanded, again until it fails
voltages on bus ok, other axis operate good
my first post, Hope I provided enough info
any assistance is appriciated
