    please help!!

I have a calculation syntax error. All I wanted to do was run two threads with a .020" bigger diameter between them.

this is my program but when I go to the .248 major diameter then to the .270 then back to the .248 it gives me calculation syntax error

    what could be casuing this?

Am I missing something here or is there only one chase line

"All I wanted to do was run two threads with a .020" bigger diameter between them." ????????????????????

are you trying to run a double lead thread with different pitch diameters?
if not what are you trying to attempt?

I am guessing that you are altering the program between threads?
Have altered both the N90 line to reflect below?
    N90G00X.270Z.20
and the N100 line to reflect the below?
    N100G78X.205Z-.700P0325Q0120F.035
If you are altering the thread cycle between threads make sure these two lines are correct if they have wrong numbers this may caues problems?

I didn't write the other chase line yet. I was going to turn the major diameter to get it ready for the 2nd thread. I want the same thread (1/4-28) on the back as I have on the front. but it won't let me make hte major diameter

got it fixed it. I just took the command out of the cycle. It worked find. I tricked the computer thinking it was going to change tools then wnet int from there. worked great

then after that. I ran the spindle backwards to come in from behind to do the right hand threads cause if I ran it forward it would be left hand threads

    thanks guys though
