Hello all,
I have a Mori SL-15 with a 10T control. I need to cut a thread and would like to use a G76 or G92 . I need an internal thread 5/8-18 cut in aluminum with diameter of .569. Then I need an external thread 5/8-18 cut on 316 SS with a diameter of .619 . The internal is .125 long and is in a blind hole. I need to get as close to the shoulder as possible. I tried to do a G76 single line but it would cut two very deep passes and one finish pass and I don't know how to govern this. I tried the two line G76 and it ran backwards. LOL. So needless to say I am very green at this. So if someone could write the first programs for me I would be very, very grateful. Once I have the first programs to look at , I can figure out how to do the others. It is the P, the d, and the q in the G76 lines that I don't quite understand. I am not exactly clear on what they do or stand for. And again THANK YOU to anybody that can help with this. Well, I guess I should go ahead and ask for the speeds and feeds while I am at it. LOL.
