Hey everyone,
Dont post much here so if I did this in the wrong place I appologize but read alot and thanks to everyone for teaching me what I have learned here.
I have spent way too much on my HF44991 (could have bought a small built machining center)...lol. I built using one of those argord treadmill motors (hundreds available when I bought mine) for my spindle, MC-60 board with C-6 to control it. Now it seems everyone is using them for windmills or something cause I cant find one anywhere. My problem is now my spindle bearings burned up and that got my motor WAY hot before I noticed.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to or is it possible to run a servo motor for the spindle and control it thru Mach3. I want to be able to spin a 1-1/2" or 2" face mill and maybe push a 5/8" spade or inserted drill thru aluminum. I dont mind spending a little money to do it as long as I can still afford my internet connection to get on here to thank you all.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Bruce
