    Hi KisKZ,

Thanks for your very kind words.

I have a new way of height-mapping that is very easy.. It's very 'automatic' when creating shaped areas in the relief.. just based on colour setting... 'shaped gradient's are automatically generated.

I've aimed to show the benefits in this months files at my site.. so it's good news to hear that you liked the latest stuff....

Also... I hope things are going OK over at HobbyCnC... I saw you are working consolidating content to common format.. this is good news.. and also the use of 7Zip... keeps files compatible between sites... which is all good for the end user..

Thanks again for your complimentary and encouraging comments. Keep it up at HobbyCnC:cheers:

Not so New as you suggest....

    Hi there,

this may be new to Blender... but it's really just the same as using a few heightmaps....

    see the images below...

the main 'trick' to this is use of the rendered depth map and alignment of the 'line' or 'toon' type render....... but as is clear below... it doesn't even really need to be an 'accurate' depthmap.. as your creating an 'interprertaion or 'posed' version rather than a direct copy.....

    Hope this helps

    Danny...

[quote=Mildred4770;1167483][QUOTE=PaulRowntree;1056193]This is terrific, and I thank you for your contributions. In browsing the catalog, page 1 shows a relief of 'The Thinker' and says it is by MichaelAngelo. I believe it is by Rodin.
    Cheers!

Great site, lots of models. But I have one problem, as I am not using ArtCam, I need to use the bmp, but there is lots of banding in images, which translates to harsh steps in relief. It seems like they are only 8bit bmp. Can you use another format or bit size to have smoother grayscale?

Or something a bit more 'import-fiendly' such as STL?

    Hello!

The problem is limit of web site engine.
Usualy I make STL and depth map, but for example these last 3 modells are too big (more than 100MB per modell) in .STL format. I can upload maximum 15MB packages for download.
    Other:
Nobody donate my site, my work (only one time I have a small donating), therefore I can not buy bigger background hotsing. I'm have not money, I do it only free for you, for help for HobbyCNC'ist.
I have lot of reliefs for the future, but I do not know, I can free share these or not without help.

    Other:
I do not understand why nobody like rate these reliefs under download.
I'ts nothing. Do not need registration for it. But this information can be helpfull for other downloaders and helpfull for me, because I can use it for make other easyer cataloging method.
What do you think? Whay nobody do it???

    With depth map other problem:
I can generate it only using ArtCAM pro 2008. This use only 256 level. Therefore result is not so good. I have AC 2010 but I can not use it because it is not work properly on my pure laptop. Maybe these nevest versions use more depth levels.
If you have other idea making smoother depth map please tell me and I will use this in the future!

    Have a nice day!

KiskZ, It is darn near impossible for a English speaking person to register on your site. Lots of stuff is translated but not when it comes to registering. Also your site doesnt seem to like gmail email addresses, another thing that will keep me from registering.
