Have you tried McMaster Carr? I use their 5/8" ball screw...

Which version of the shoptask you have? I have the patriot design and I ordered it with the ballscrews and CNC option. On the patriot you don't need a ballscrew for the Z. axis according to John at shoptask. I have regretted ordering my machine with the CNC option as I've had to redo most of what was done from the factory. I love having CNC on the machine it's just that I wish I had built my own from scratch as you are.

    Shoptask

Mine is a eldorado bridgemill 4 post lift. One right before the patriot. I am thinking of the ones from Rex Machine industries and then gear to gear one on the x axis so turns the right way. I got to get my x axis extension done first so I can get the right ball screw length,
