Info on Samsung DC Brushless servo needed

Hi I picked up a Samsung motor with a built in encoder of ebay last week it arrived with no datasheet and the motor itself has no clues on it as to its spec.

The samsung website has no information on their servo motors, the only source I have is a distrubuters website in the UK that has technical data on Samsung AC drives, no mention of DC?

The model number is CSM - 02BB1ANT3

The encoder has 9 wires including grounds and the motor has 4 (Red, White, Green and Black)

Does anyone know where I would find a datasheet for this motor?

    Many thanks
    Gav

The four stator wires are RED,WHITE,BLACK, green is ground.
The 'encoder' could be just for commutation. Or single ended encoder and commutation.
If it is possible, you could take the encoder cover off and see if you can identify it by a manuf. part number.

Its made by Tamagawa, their logo is also on the inside of the encoder housing casting.

The encoder housing looks as if it has been designed specificaly for this motor so the motor could also have made by Tamagawa?

    The wires are,

Black, Red and three pairs of coloured wires one in each pair is marked with a black line down its length. The pairs are Blue, Green and Yellow.

There is no model number which relates to anything on the Tamagawa website site, the number on the board which looks most like a model number is 6590-1815.

It also has the following code on the circuit boards UL NAS-85-v r09064NI

I use Tamagawa motors and their encoder colour code is usually:
    Red +5v
    Black Common
    Blue A
    Blue/blk A\
    Green B
    Green/blk B\
    Yellow Z
    Yellow/blk Z\
    Z being the marker pulse.

It is a Tamagawa motor rebranded as Samsung Rockwell. Tamagawa were kind enough to send me the data sheet which states the encoder is 2054 cpr and the operating voltage is 240v AC not DC. I am informed that DC brushless is another name for an AC motor?

Not quite, AC servo is usually fed by a 3 phase sinusoidal signal, DCBL servo is constructed virtually identical, it has three stator windings also, but only two stator winding are energised at any given time, hence manufacturers generally call this brushless DC.
Tamagawa motors come in AC that have resolver feedback and BLDC that have 3 commutation pulse feedback.

    Tamagawa TBL-L TS4128

    Howdy lads.

I see that this thread is a tad old but here goes anyway.

I am after any info on this motor please,

    Regards

I think Tamagawa have removed the info on the older motors from their site, but I have had replies on a couple of motors I needed info on when I emailed them.
