    VFD input speed control

I know you can control them with a 0v to 10v signal, and with rotary switch's a few different ways.

But what other ways can they be controlled with?

Will a PWM signal work ?

Or what about a Step signal from a CNC controller?

I seen where modbus may be able to be used, but I don't know anything about modbus to know how this could help.

    Thanks Jess

Look at Peter Homann's Digispeed boards,

I use the the DC06. Uses a step signal to control rpm. Works great.

    Other models use PWM signal.

Get one with relays on. DC02 or DC06. I have a DC03 and it sometimes trips when the power is interrupted to the breakout board or even with small distortion on the powerline. A little nerve wrecking when a 3hp motor starts at full power right beside your head just because you check the ingoing voltage with you voltmeter
