i need to increase the number of Digital i/o for the m66 function

Hello, i talked with many of the developers of emc and they said that until now, the only way to increase the number of digital i/o is getting the source code and recompiling the emc with the changes made into the motmod module,(when the new 2.3 version comes out this would be easier ) but i don't know how to recompile the emc (i'm not a linux master) so i just want to know if any of you had the same problem or if anybody wants to increase the number of inputs like me, thanks and sorry for my english.

Look here on how to download and compile EMC.
    http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emc...eady_installed
Maybe you mean you don't know how to change the source code ? You don't know how to program in C C++ or python? Figure out how to compile there source and then someone could possibly give you a patch for what you want.
