Hi!
We are having major scale problems! We believe we have the scale right on TurboCNC because we taped a ruler to the table, and when we jog it at a 16.9 to 1 gear ratio, it moves exactly 1 inch. When it says 1 inch in the status window, it shows 1 inch on the ruler.
But when we try to run a program from Vectric Cut3D, the pass depth on our machine is much greater than shown in the parameters of the program.
We are trying to use a 1/8 inch round ball bur instead of an end or round mill. We are using .0625 as the pass depth, which is 1/2 the diameter of the bur tip. We have tried cut plane settings at the bottom, center, and near the top of the material, but our plunge is still way too deep. We are not sure if we can change anything in the Cut3D program to more nearly match our machine's scale, or if there is something different we can try in TurboCNC.
Any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
