meldas-m0 Cannot input G54 offset numbers

meldas m0 on a leadwell mcv-0. Whenever I try and input a work offset it gives me "ERROR KEYIN FORMAT". Has anyone else seen this? I have just reset the machine from a dead battery and have tried input all the parameters again from scratch. This is the first time I am trying to input an offset. Tool offsets go in fine.

    error keyin format meldas

I get the same error on m86 when I try to write a new program or program number in edit or mdi or if I try to input with the rs232. I am also reloading parmameters. I am working on mch450. MY pcv40 was working ok and I get this error, so part of this is probably operator controlled.

Key In Format means the control does not understand what you are typing. I would imagine that you are typing it in correctly since this was running before the battery issue?

Are you sure that you got all of you option parameters typed back in. These parameters are in a hidden area of the control.

I did not have the right option parameters. I have a set from okk that made some functions work. I could use the options used on a pallet changer. Looking at other okk option tables would help me as well as other parameter files.

It's tough to get OKK or any other manufacturer to help out on a control this old. One possibility would be to call Mitsubishi. They keep records of every machine they work on including parameter files. Maybe if you get one of their service guys that are in a good mood they can look up a similar machine and get you the option parameters. It's worth a shot. 847-478-2500

I got a lot of help from Mits. I was asking the machine to do things when the machine tool builder option tables were not turned on. Basicly we told the computer that an index table was present. Everything is working now but the pallet changer.
