Has anyone ever had any luck removing the blackish coolant stains from their collets or milling tables?

No Luck really Removing the stains, But after everything is coated in coolant and i wipe it all up as well as possible I spray everything with a Coat of LPS 1 and that has seemed to slow signs of any stains, and slows rust too. Don't know if that helps you but I'm interested to see if anyone has any solutions.

If the coolant stain will not wash off with either acetone or methanol don't go any further because it is actually etched into the metal. This is particularly the case with the black stains that form under vises and things bolted to the table for a long time.

You could polish it off using Scotchbrite but in doing this you are removing metal and this is definitely not a good idea.
