Hi - The G540 manual states “Choose a motor that has a rated winding inductance of 2.5mH to 3mH if maximum power output (>100W mechanical) is a requirement”.
I want to use the G540 on a larger bench top mill. What is the exact issue with using this motor which has a 4mh inductance rating. Does it mean the G540 can use these motors but not produce the rated 3.5 amps or the 425oz/in. If I can use these motors what current and torque could I expect and what current resistor do I use to get maximum output from this combination.
I have these motors from

Operation bipolar
Holding torque-Nm (oz/in) +/- 10% 3.5 (497)
Rated voltage 3.0
Rated current per phase (amps DC) 3
Resistance (Ohms) +/- 10% 1.2
Induction (mH) +/- 20% typical 4
