    Red face point of orgin

    is it possible to move the point of orgin after a part has been started on?
    if so how.

    There are a few ways to do this.

    1) Create copies of work planes before starting your part model. This is a good tip I got from tjones.

    2) Use the dimensioning to move your part.

    3) Constraints

    4) Start over LOL.

    LOL had to add that last one because this is what I used to do in the begining.

    I know there is a way to change the Origin Point but forgot how. These options will work though depending on how you created the model.

    There is no real need to change the origin in Alibre. Paid versions of Cam have their own origin settings and does not need changed in CAD area.

    For free version then you can create a new part and insert the original as a Boolean add in. Then you can use constraints to move anywhere you wish.

    Alter the original part and the boolean part changes as well so you can still use as needed.

    But the real question is to why you would need to change the origin of your part?
