Check your option parameters 900's, maybe the one that activates the rigid tapping mode is not activated.

Yes, Spindle stopped after reading G84 & M54, but start rotating very very slowely ( as open command wire ). Also traverse in vertical axis does not synchronised with Spindle rotation and as I release the feed knob, vertical axis come in rapid downward.

Is there should be any Fixed cycle prog ( %09xxxx) in edit memory to perform the rigid cycle operation.

If any body know, pl reply.

    Thanks

You will want to make sure that parameter 5200 bit #0 for G84 is set to 1 for your rigid tapping. Also check your in-position width for rigid tapping parameters 5300 and 5301. These parameters are machine condition related they may have to be increased depending on Z axis vibration. You will not be able to detect this vibration visually or even through sound because it is so micro.

    Dear All ,
    Thanks for your valuable reply.
At last I got the fault. One of its door Limit sw intorlock input was missing when checked in diagonasis. Soldered the wire at M1 connector at i/o board & now it is working fine.

    Thanks.

M29 S1200 is for rigid tapping mode, but how is direction of spindle specified. Is it through M03/04? Does it have to be given before M29 or after M29 or anywhere?

spindle direction is controlled by tapping cycle. G84 right hand thread and G74 left hand thread. No need to call M03 or M04, spindle stop at M29 Sxxxx.
