    Software Question

    Is there any software in existence where one can activate the system, trace along an object, and record the commands that would duplicate the object? If this question has been asked before I apologize, but it would sure save some steps.

    Do you want it fully automated? I've seen a Mach3 macro that will do this. Mach3 also has a teach macro that let's you manually do it.

    It doesn't need to be fully automated. My goal is to create duplicate pieces. There will be one model created by hand, but the need to create duplicates of that one model.

    Where have you seen a Mach3 macro that will, "trace along an object, and record the commands that would duplicate the object?" I think you left some things out there. Like a Probe to do the tracing with and the Software to create the gcodes with and....
