Weird artifact in SW DXF file.

Weird artifact in SW DXF file.

We are new to SW, but have been using “paper land” to save our parts to DXF format. We have not had any problem until recently, we sent our files to another vendor to keep things honest and they keep getting this “artifact” in the DXF file.

It is especially weird, because the “artifact” is in some files and not others. We use the same process to save the DXF file for all parts. We have even created new simple parts to try and reduce or eliminate the idea it could be a “dangling entity” etc.

Please reference the screen shot for a sample of what the vendor is seeing. I thought it might be the triad, but it is not, all parts start on the triad, and the part is fine, but this dam THING will not go away, and the problem is not consistent. I know for computer work that does not sound right, but we must be missing something.

    Any help, greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,

Can you post a .dxf with the object in it?

Here is the actual DXF file, for review. We can not delete it because “we” can’t see it. It does not appear in SW. Not in model or paper land. The vendor can crop it out, but you know that can be a pain and is not good a good practice. We have to figure out what settings or series of events is causing it to appear.

Again, thanks for input and offers to help further.

AutoCAD doesn't display it either. What are they using that it shows up in? Perhaps there software is adding it?
