    OKUMA LB15 "ALARM 206 A Shear Pin 4"

    Hello all people,

I have purchased a Old Okuma LB 15 twin turret turning machine.
When I have powered on theis machine, There is alarm appeared on screen " ALARM 206 A Shear pin 4"
I have checked the alram list in the machine manuls, but there is no 200 series alarms in those manuls.

Does any body know what type of alarm is this? and how can i get rid of that?

    Please help me.

    regards.

    error msg

Our book says "The shear pin between the brushless motor and the ball screw is broken." Probably on the XA. The book says replace the pin.

yes it could be the shear pin, but it may also be a bad shear pin monitoring switch.

    Shear pin

The shear pin holds the 2 pullys by the x axis motor you need to see if its broken you will need a special nut to get the taper lock off if needed look in the parts book it will show u the shear pin,

    Thanks all,
I have got those shear pins. yes pins were broken.
l have replaced those pins and the alarm was gone.

But now machine is moving its all axes only in "MANUAL" mode. When I have pressed any other mode button, there is an Alarm" 124 Storke end limit cancel" appeared on screen.

The operating and Maintenance manual says "Operation other than Manual is selected while the storke end limit cancel switch is ON"

Where is the loction of this switch?

    Please help me

    Regards.
