    90° Beveled Gearbox ?

I'm currently trying to locate the best price on a miniature "L shaped" 90° Beveled Gearbox. I'm working with a company that offers them, but thought I'd ask before I purchase anything.

    1. 90° 2 shaft gearbox (Price @ $50.00 each not including shipping)

    Size: 29.97mm x 29.97mm x 18.79mm
    Torque: 6 in-lbs (hardened gears)
    Ratios 1:1

    2. 90° 3 shaft gearbox (Price @ $208.00 each not including shipping)

    Size: 40mm x 40mm x 25mm
    Torque: 12.5 to 40 Inch-lbs
    Ratios: 1:1

If you have any links to another company that can make them and offer them with a better ETA and price, please do tell.....

    Thank you
    Chris

    "Globalspec"

I've tried them in the past, really expensive. I think the Gearbox I was looking at was about $300.00 or more. Pretty much the samething, but for some reason they charge more.

How about any great places to buy smaller metric gears from ?

I've tried SDP, Mc-masters carr for gears, to big.

Do you need a gearbox per se?
What degree of backlash are you looking to get?
Have you looked at descrete Spiral Bevel and Miter & Bevel gears such as offered by Boston Gear for example?.
If you want metric, get yourself a free Misumi catalogue for just about any piece of hardware you need.
For miniature gears, check Winfred M Berg Inc N.Y.

Yes does need to be a miniature gearbox. Backlash would need to be very very low. Not sure how they really rate that, but I've seen 1 degree (not sure what that means exactly). Boston Gear is more for lager gearboxes.

Can't find the last company Winfred M berg inc N.Y.. Have a link ?

1 degree would be considered high backlash.
Low backlash would be in the order of 5 arc minutes.
