    Can someone tell me what size and kind this screw is...

    I'm pretty sure it's an acme 1/2" 2 start 8 thread, but I'm not sure. It is on an x/y table I bought off of ebay.

    I agree with you.
    You should be able to see the 2 starts from the end and I think I see that. I count 8 threads on your ruler. Looks close to 1/2" on you ruler also.
