I cut out all of the pieces of the shark on my mill last night from .125 alum plate and it looks good. I think that with just a little bit of finishing the parts will go together pretty well. I will post some pictures of it when it is done. I think it would look really neat with some of the pieces anodized and maybee someday I will try that. It wold also probably look great cut from acrilic or any other metal like copper or brass. Thanks again to whoever took all of the time to create the dxf drawings.

All the drawings I used are alraedy posted on this thread. The terradactyl was one of the fonts that Whiteriver uploaded. The good thing was I just typed the font to the size I wanted it to be.

I used 10mm mdf as my material.

Obviuosly you will need to edit the DXF to suit the material thinkness and bit size you are using.

How long did it take to machine and what feed date did you use?

30 mins for the tera... 2 passes......cant remember the feedrate. I think it was 100mm per second.
40 mins for the raptor.

Download the fonts and install them into your Windows font folder.
Then open your CAD program and insert text. Male sure you select the Dono font as your text. You will then see a skeleton. You can upsize or downsize it to what ever suits. You will need to edit the slots to suit your material thickness and your router bit of choice.

Make them JPG files or Gif files.
BMPS are unnecesarily large in file size.
Use the free program Irfanview to convert them.
Put them in the Photo gallery instead of the downloads section.

Thanks Benny, I just found that out when 'the Zone' spat the dummy and didn't accept the files. I'm working on them at present, cleaning them up & converting them to DXF, so I'll upload them then. They may be of more use to more people that way.

First i have to excuse my bad english. i searched the whole internet for dxf files for our plasma-maschine.
today i found this site and it´s great..!!
Last week we made a t-rex.
it is made of 8 mm steel in 40 pieces and is about 1,90 meter high.
