Just got a 7x12 Homier lathe

A friend just gave me a Homier 7x12 lathe with extra chucks, tools, holders, etc.
And I've used it already to make several small fixes out of wood & plastic.

Is there a small milling attachment made a lathe of this size?

    Thanks,

    HW

Pick up a cheap angle plate and mount your compound to it - you can then use the lathe to machine a vise mounted the compound

    Milling attachment

    Thanks for the angle link.

Hey, that's a good idea. I have an extra compound. I could mount that to the vertical side of the angle as the z axis. And if I mounted a small machinists vice to the compound as a work holder? I'd have a simple milling attachment.

I can use the picture on "littlemachineshop" as a guide.

    Thanks,

A block of steel would work as an angle plate if you have the right size.

I looked into doing this but found the X1 micro mill on sale for ~$230. Now that the X1 is pushing $300, the X2 from Cummins ($399) is a better deal on a mill.

    Milling attach

    Thanks,

Have no steel block, but that angle is cheap and I can work with that.

Thanks again for your help & ideas.
