    Visual Quick Code on TL4

    Hi,
We have a new TL-4 and we are trying to use VQC to generate programs for now. When trying to generate program for Two diameters with two outside corner radius the code put out had G42 and G3 for the outside corner on the nearside, tool on the left. This seems wrong for a Toolroom Lathe, It seems like it should be G41 and G2. The intuitive programming works but is limited.
    Thanks for any insight

Welcome to the world of toolroom lathes. The machining centers have the cutters on the backside of the part. All the programming examples in the book are from that point of view.

The TL series also programs from that point of view, though it seems upside-down to us. Yeah, I know: confusing. But if the IPS screen or the VQC template built it, it's probably right. G02/G03 directions are from the POV of being on the back side of the part.
