    Mori Seiki SL 0H turret

HI, We are operating a Mori Seiki SL 0H, purchased without an operators manual or for that matter, any paperwork at all. We have managed very well so far with just one exception. We have been unable to find the code to enable us to shortcut the turret movement, in other words, to move from station 2 to station 1 we have to do a full rotation of the turret.
Is it possible to short cut and if so can anyone help?

PS. This is my first shot at using a forum so please excuse any naveity.

If your machine has the option it should be M17 M18

don't quote me, but I think that the SL-0 has the hydraulic turret motor, and if I am correct about that, then you are limited because the control uses BCD to track the turret position switches and limits you to one direction.

I have a SL-00 from 1993 with a FANUC. My turret only turns one direction but I have never questioned it because it spins so fast it does not matter to me.

However my manual states that the turret should turn what ever direction is the shortest rotation to the next tool. And it states that the M17, M18 can be used if parameter 561.4(K1.4) is flipped. It states the purpose is so you can use a tool that is too long to make the rotation and so must be kept from going all the way around.

I plan to look at it more.
