    Upgrade/Migrate problems

    Moving into a new PC.

XP PRO, Fully patched. No other software. Clean Intall.

I backed up my custom screens and .lic file on my network.

Just to test, I installed 2.42 on my Laptop (Vista Ultimate) and the program works flawlessly (except that I dont have a printer port). Upgraded to 2.60 and that works great too.

The program works only in demo mode on the XP PC. I copied the .lic file and screens back down from my network and the .lic file IS in the Mach3 folder. Also, when I do a "Help/About", my license shows with my name. However, I can only run 500 lines of code.

Before I realized what the issue was (I was running smaller test programs) I installed Quantum to another directory. I thought that this might be causing the problem, so I did a COMPLETE rebuild of XP.

I am STILL having the same problem!

I also coped the entire working Mach3 folder from my Vista Laptop over to the XP PC. It is still operating like a demo.

    Any Iders?

Email Art, your lic file may be corrupted. Did you try running any programs longer than 500 lines on the laptop?

Good news! Upgrade to Vista allowed me to complete my jobs past 500 lines.

Bad News! Motors no longer turn I'm not sure if it's Vista not talking to the port, or if Mach is not talking to Vista. Back to the drawing board instead of the cutting board.

Driver works fine since I can run it with EMC2 on the same computer. I can also hear the motors lock up when I reboot.
