    New Chinese CO2 laser - laser head shuddering

    Hello all

    We have a new laser at our community mens shed, has done 2 hours work, now the laser head x axis shudders violently on start up and when running a file, jog function not working either but Y axis looks fine.

    Look for loose connections on the cables. If they all feel good you could power down the machine and switch the motors or motor driver between the x and y axis and see if the problem moves to the other is. If it does then it is a motor or driver or bad cable
