I am on a Daewoo Lathe, 10" chuck, woking a new job as a Machinist/ Programmer. The job is cake, material is 1215 and part is 2.3 inches long out of 1215 sawcuts (solid).

In a nutshell for brevity, I have a 1.25 inserted drill I plan to push through the part early on, but I do not know what make the drill or isert is, nor is that information forthcoming. I guess you might say it's a test..

I'd appreciate a lot if some members with relevant experience here would start with as far as feeds and speed on this drill -- again: 1.25 dia inserted drill (I've been told it's the kind you can also bore with and that the insert IS for steel at least - I trust both, have no need to bore with it though..) no additional info is coming my way and I will be doing this early tomorrow a.m.) going through 2.3" long part, machine has average or worse through-coolant but is all piped in - and I know there are 100 variables or more but with just this what is you guys reccomendation(s)

My 1st thought is 325sfm and .006 feed

Thanks a ton guys,,, Tim
