Left hand thread with rigid tap

I need to tap some left hand threads on my TM-1P. I'm assuming there is no more to it than using M04 rather then M03? I have rigid tapping and I am also assuming it will work with M04 as well.

    G74 Reverse Tap Canned Cycle.

Have a look inyour manual or go to the online manual on the Haas website.

For tapping, either forward or reverse, you do not need to use M03 or M04 because the controller starts the spindle. You only need to set the rpm.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
