    gecko 203v question

Just received my grex and the 203V's ... these are really nice.. and there was definitely a lot of love that went into them.. top notch fit/finish.

I'm going to sink thim to some cpu coolers, but may need to drill holes in the backplate.

Q: Do the plasticwire connector/blocks come off so I have room to screw/drill/mount? Delivered doc says the do, but I'm scared to pull too hard as I'm not sure if they are soldered or just a really tight fit..

I think they were amd cpu fans, but all i did wad bend the spring clamp on the cpu fan a bit and clamped it to the 2 tongues on the g203v's no drilling/tapping required.

Yes they pry off, just use something real thin to get them started, I used my pocket knife. Pry one side up a little then go to the other end and do the same. The connectors are real tight on the pins but they do come off. Make sure you know where they split.
