    CNC Hours?

Would this be considered low hours on a year 2000 haas VM-3?

6,189 Power on Hours as of 7/13/2007
1,980 Cycle Start Hours as of 7/13/2007
1,723 Feed Cutting Hours as of 7/13/2007

    If not would would be?

    Thanks in advance.

There's machines that have that much cycle and cutting hours in a year.

Well look at it from a purely mathematical standpoint.

    7 years is roughly 61,362 hours. (24*365.25*7)

So it has only been powered on 10% of the time.

    Cycle start is 3.2%

    and Cut time is: 2.8%

I'd say it isn't even broke in yet.

    Smile CNC Hours

Be careful, because if you are reading the time from the CURNT COMDS Values – They can be cleared by cursor-selecting the one you wish to clear and pressing ORIGIN. You in effect could make the machine look like it had no time at all on it.

Also, if the software was ever upgraded or if the backup battery was not changed properly, those values could have been reset also. A closer assesment of time can be found on the Diagnostics Screen. But again if it ever had a software or CPU Board replaced, that value could be wrong as well.
