    Newb with some questions

Hi,i'm new to any sort of cad and having some problems. I downloaded a program from emachineshop.com and have made some drawings of parts i'd like to have made or make myself. The ems.com program seemed to be limited so with a little searching i dl'ed the trial of rhino 3d. So far i haven't been able to figure anything out in rhino so i was wondering if there are any basic tutorials out there(vid would be nice)? Also is there any other programs that you can dl a trial or old free version that are simpler and could be used at a later date on a home cnc? I'm not planning on doing anything real complicated but would like to be able to have multiple parts in 1 3d image.

Another question i have is when i export a drawing from ems's program(dxf) and import it to rhino the layout changes, why is that? Sorry i can't be more specific so here's 2 screen shots.

    It's exporting a 2D drawing, not the actual 3D part. that's why it's different.

Open Rhino3d, look at the menu's on the top right, click on HELP. Go down to "learn rhino" and click on "tutorials". The first one you draw a castle which teaches you to use the 3 views and the persective window. The second you draw a flashlight which teaches you some about solid modeling. The third one you draw a rubber ducky using NURBS. Neat stuff, it's how I started quite a few years ago.

Thanks, all i could find earlier was the buy the cd tutorial.

So whats a good 2d trial or old free version that i should look for? That still seems simpler to me.
