    Hass Repair

What about the Hass Rotary indexer? The last time we needed it repaired we had to send it out to Calif. Took about a month before we got it back. They are so heavy UPS will not take them had to ship freight via tractor trailer. A faster turn around would be nice.

the ha5c should be able to go ups if you package it properly, haas sells boxes for like $150.00

It's okey now they fixed it. But the problem it had was it could not find the home position. Just kept on rotating and no Zero could be found. We did what we could. cleaned it out checked the contacts in the box etc. But when it came back it was a major upgrade and rebuild. We havent had any problems sence. But one never knows.. One day we could turn it on and nothing happens. I'm sure it's to do with all the moisture etc. from the coolant getting inside. It would be nice to have options though.....

i cannot repair the mechanic part of it because i cannot get parts unless you order them, and haas will not sell the worm gears to anyone unless they are rotary certified. but no home would be either the cable or the hall effect sensor which can be had easily.

I am looking for some way cover rubber wipers, for a 1996 Haas VF3. I only need the y axis now but whats the cost for the parts on both axis. I plan to change them myself, I just need parts. To be honest I am looking for someone to get the parts from thats cheaper than Haas. Maybe some aftermarket?

93-8500 is about $85.00 that is 24 feet of rubber and should cover both x and y axis. thats only about 3.50 a foot i do not have an aftermarket source fior the rubber but i do have many other parts. For $85.00 it hardly seems worth bothering, just order it from the hfo they do have competitive prices on most things but if you need anything else feel free to contact us.

Thanks Serviceman for responding. Your right, when it came back it did have a brand new cable and they eliminated or changed some of the components in the Black electrical box that mounts to the Indexer. It did need a new gasket (lol) we had that box apart so many times repairing it. But ya know it's been going for 15 years now. We have also upgraded the Control. It's nice. Now that I know of this site I'll be sure to post problems here that we cannot solve in case others have had similar problems and may know a fix or some one such as yourself that even has parts. GREAT SITE !
